The white pinned the flirt and pushed his face intop the ground. The flirt's damaged nose bled deep red as it spilled in the ivory snow. When the flirt had yelped long enough, Sani ordered the white to let him go, which he did. The White howled his trimuph and the rest of the pack joined him. Leena found herself howling too but not for the trimuph of the winner or in sorrow for the flirt, but in resignation. She howled longer than the rest for having her childhood evened in one ceremony she cry for it without the use of tears. The white looked up to Leena and Rei he bowed, his haunchs matted with blood and sweat. Leena knowing her place lept down from the rock and curtsied to the white. The white introduced himself "I am Galahad, son of the Lady Menedith and Sir William in the Valley of Waters," he said in a voice deep and young. He reached down and took her hand, kissed it. She showed no emotion "I am Leena daughter of the Leader Mort and Lady Stella heads of the pack." Her eyes filled, "Even though you are the rightful victor I will not submit my belly to you until we have learned more about each other." Galahad stunned, said nothing, though he silently agreed with the nod of his head. As the pack milled into the place were the carcass had fallen and in nervous silence began to eat then slowly grew with talk, laughter and screams. Galahad lead Leena into the cave, neither one of the was hungry. "I know that this is a big transition for you, it is for me too, come into the cave was talk as others eat."

They talked and talked they had a lot in common but Leena was still uncomfortable with the Galahad. He tried holding her hand and smell her fur many times and each time she moved away. After awhile, she said *this can wait until we are really married* Galahad looked abashed but backed off. Leena ran out into the nsow while the others were still feasting. Leena could catch Sani and Mort speaking of the fight again, the importance of Rei's fighting methods what else she could do for them; their options. Leena paid no attention. She ran up on to the rick where rei was sleeping and her puppy hood had truely ended.
